How to get my passport from my parents without being suspicious?

My sister is taking me to get my belly button pierced today. I live in Canada and I'm 17 so technically I'm legally allowed to get it done; it's just that my only form of ID is my passport and they have it. What are some excuses to get my passport without having to tell them I'm getting a hole put through my navel?
