Hasn't the entertainment industry figured out that blocking countries from content actually ENCOURAGES piracy?

I so get your point. I'm from Costa Rica and I believe it is highly annoying when they do this. I mean, sometimes I've been waiting ages for a song, and i can't get because 'it is not available in my country'. What the heck?? Why not?? How do they think piracy and illegally downloading things(movies, music, tv shows, etc...) from the internet will stop if they put all this stupid policies?? it wont..there's alot of people who can be willing to buy a whole cd for one song(like you mentioned) but there is alot more that are just not, and eventually get what they want pirated.
