Guys, does he want to marry me?

My bf and i are 25 and have been together for 4 years. We also have 2 beautiful babies together (2 and 4 month old) and have been living together for 3 years. He has mentioned that he would like to get married but don't you think if he really wanted to he would have already proposed by now? I don't want to bring it up because i don't want to pressure him even though both our parents have. When we meet people he introduces me as his wife. Im confused. I just want him to propose :( I'm sick of ppl asking "you have 2 kids together, why aren't you married?" or have others look down on me like im another statistic (having kids young and not being married) Should i say something? I couldn't care less about the ring. I just want to be his wife...legally.
