Do you think that a persons good deeds benefit them after they die?

It could possibly have an effect that what you do now impacts you later. I'm an atheist and don't believe in any religion, but I do believe that we are reborn once our old shell dies because, after all, energy cannot be created or destroyed. If karma does exist, which I kind of believe it does, then yes, I think in our next life, how rough or lack of it is, is a result of our past life.
